How ACDC handles data

What ACDC collects

Standardized incident, custodial, judicial, and prosecutorial records submitted by Police, Prisons, Judiciary, Prosecution, Probation, specialized agencies, and National Statistics Offices across Member States, classified against the UNODC ICCS framework.

Who can see what

Public dashboards show published, aggregated statistics only — never individual case files, names, or other personally identifying details. Individual submitted records are visible solely to the reviewing Country Data Administrator and continental research staff until they're validated for publication.

Data quality & review

Every submission is scored for completeness and consistency before publication. A Country Data Administrator or Super Administrator must validate a submission before it appears on any public chart or map.

Retention

Published aggregate statistics are retained indefinitely for longitudinal research. Rejected or archived submissions are retained for audit purposes and are not publicly accessible.

Requests & corrections

A Member State's own Country Data Administrator can correct or withdraw that country's data at any time. For anything else, reach the ACDC team via the Contact page.
